The Leonardo Officina Italiana Momento Zero Grande 2.0 Sand is a generously sized fountain pen for writers who love a pen with presence. Turned in Italy from a rod of layered spaghetti resin and paired with rhodium-finish trim, it combines a calm, neutral look with the practicality of a piston filler with a visible ink window.
The evolution of the Momento Zero Grande
The Grande 2.0 is the evolution of the well-known Momento Zero Grande. Its defining feature is a transparent window on the writing section that shows how much ink is left in the barrel. Because it sits on the section, it is not visible when the pen is closed, so the elegant lines of the pen stay intact.
Sand: a neutral, layered resin
The Sand finish features chatoyant, layered resin with stripes in different shades of beige and grey. As the light moves across the barrel and cap, the bands shift in depth. Silver-tone rhodium details keep the overall look clean and refined.
Steel nib or 14kt gold nib
This pen is available in two versions, so you can choose the one that fits your writing and budget:
- Steel nib version: #6 "La Fenice" steel nib with an ABS feed. Nib sizes: EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.5 and Elastic F. The nibs are compatible with Leonardo/Jowo nibs.
- 14kt gold nib version: #6 "La Fenice" 14kt gold nib with an ebonite feed. Nib sizes: EF, F, M, B, BB, Stub 1.4, Elastic EF and Elastic F. This version includes a bottle of ink.
Piston filler and ink window
The integrated piston mechanism holds 1.5 ml of ink and lets you fill the pen straight from a bottle. The mechanism can be disassembled with Leonardo's dedicated wrench, which makes maintenance easier over the years. The ink window on the section lets you refill before you run dry.
