The Leonardo Officina Italiana Momento Zero Grande Eclipsis – the Moon is a fountain pen for those who see writing as a ritual. Part of the Eclipsis collection, it takes its name from the Latin word for eclipse and invites you to follow the rhythm of the Earth, the Sun and the Moon. It combines a transparent body, rose gold trim and an in-house piston mechanism.
Eclipsis: the Sun and the Moon
An eclipse happens when one celestial body comes between the Sun and another, partly or totally hiding its light. Leonardo turned this phenomenon into a pair of pens in the Momento Zero Grande family: the Sun and the Moon. This listing is for the Moon.
The Moon: Mediterranean blue, midnight blue and bronze
The Moon has a Mediterranean blue base with midnight blue and bronze curves that swirl through the barrel and cap. Because the body is transparent, you can see the piston mechanism, the nib and the feed. Once the pen is filled, the ink inside becomes part of the design and adds another dimension to the pen.
Rose gold trim
The clip and the cap and barrel rings are finished in rose gold, which gives a warm contrast to the blue tones of the body.
