The Curidas Stones series is a limited edition celebrating 60 years since Platinum's first retractable fountain pen, launched in 1965. It comes in three colors inspired by precious stones, with an iridescent pearl finish that changes shade with the angle and the light.

The Labradorite color

The Labradorite shade is inspired by this gemstone of shifting reflections. On the pen, the iridescent pearl finish moves between a shimmering teal blue and purple-pink glints depending on how the light hits it, for a natural, dynamic effect.

A name with a story

"Curidas" combines curiosity with the Japanese word kuridasu, meaning "to extend", a nod to the nib that extends with every click. It comes from Platinum Pen Co., founded in Japan in 1919 by Shunichi Nakata. The Curidas revives, 55 years later, the spirit of the brand's first retractable pen from 1965.
