Stanley Kubrick: The Shining Rollerball Pen

Montegrappa Stanley Kubrick: The Shining Limited Edition Rollerball Pen

With The Shining, Stanley Kubrick showed that the most frightening places are the ones inside our own minds. Montegrappa turns that vision into a collector's rollerball limited to 237 pieces, a number that pays homage to Room 237, the most iconic door of the Overlook Hotel. It opens a new Montegrappa series dedicated to legendary filmmakers.

Cinema turned into a writing instrument

The edition reinterprets Kubrick's world with engraved vermeil decorations and carefully chosen materials. Deep red resin evokes the blood that floods the hotel corridor, while wood and gold-plated silver add the warmth and weight of a luxury object. Its imposing presence makes it a statement piece on any desk.

Rare materials

Crafted in Italy from sterling silver 925, vermeil (gold-plated silver), wood and translucent red acrylic resin. Small colour variations are a natural result of the artisanal process and prove the authenticity of each piece.

Smooth, reliable writing

Fitted with an original Montegrappa rollerball refill and a screw cap, it offers a fluid, effortless line without the care a fountain pen requires. A comfortable, substantial barrel makes it easy to hold during long writing sessions.

The REDRUM display case

Each pen is presented in a display case that recreates, in miniature, the Torrance family apartment door, marked with the word REDRUM, which reads MURDER when reflected in a mirror.
